Breaking the Cycle of Dropout Rates in Sacramento — A Message from Anh Phoong
In Sacramento, a powerful shift is happening—and it’s happening in classrooms, auditoriums, and within the hearts of students who are rewriting their future.
As the founder of Phoong Law, a firm deeply rooted in community advocacy and justice, I had the honor of speaking to the students of Miracle University, a school on the frontlines of dropout prevention and youth empowerment in Sacramento.
Every student in that room is on track to graduate high school.
That’s not just a milestone—it’s a miracle in motion.
Celebrating Sacramento’s Future High School Graduates
This was more than a speaking engagement—it was a reminder that when young people are supported, anything is possible. I want to thank every educator, volunteer, and staff member who’s helping eliminate Sacramento’s dropout crisis.
And to the students:
You are the reason we’re here.
As Dr. Raja beautifully said, every one of you is a miracle—and you deserve the chance to walk that graduation stage with pride.
Phoong Law Donates $100,000 to Miracle University
Because we don’t just believe in showing up.
We believe in investing in the future of Sacramento.
That’s why I’m proud to announce that Phoong Law is donating $100,000 to support Miracle University and the 2025 graduating class. This donation will help fund academic support, mentoring, and essential resources to continue combating student dropout rates in underserved communities.
Working alongside California State Treasurer Fiona Ma to help bring attention and resources to Miracle University was an incredible experience. Fiona’s commitment to youth empowerment and equitable access to education made this moment even more meaningful.
Why This Matters: Education Is Justice
At Phoong Law, we fight every day for justice in the courtroom. But justice starts earlier—in the classroom, in the support systems, and in opportunities that so many students never receive.
Every diploma earned is a generational win.
Every student who finishes school becomes part of the solution.
To the Class of 2025: Keep Going
To every young person at Miracle University and beyond:
Take this moment in. You’ve earned it.
And don’t forget to thank those who stood by you—your teachers, mentors, parents, and friends.
We’re proud of you.
We believe in you.
And we can’t wait to see what you do next.
