A Mission Rooted in Personal Experience
At Phoong Law, empowering women is more than a professional mission, it is deeply personal. Our founder, Anh Phoong, grew up as the daughter of immigrants who came to America in 1979. In her traditional Chinese household, men made the decisions while women were often expected to remain silent. As a child, Anh admired her father’s leadership but often wondered why her mother’s voice was absent from important conversations.
Those questions planted a lifelong conviction: women deserve to be heard, respected, and valued. As Anh entered adulthood, she felt a calling to use her strong voice not only for herself but also for others who could not speak up. Becoming a lawyer gave her the platform to advocate for women, children, and victims who needed justice. Her own journey as a survivor of sexual assault deepened her passion to ensure that no woman feels voiceless, powerless, or alone.
Today, Phoong Law stands as both a champion for survivors and a source of inspiration for the next generation. When young girls see Anh leading a law firm, they see that it is possible to grow into strong, independent women who can lead, decide, and thrive.
